Tuesday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Derby day 2 Matas SS Every Man Jack ASB This Matas soap is a very cheap item from Denmark - it’s the only commercial soap from there and very honestly I’m not that impressed with it. The scent is very subdued and whatever scent it has is just clean and soapy. It gives very good, stable lather but it doesn’t have enough slickness or cushion and its postshave care is not that good, but then again what could I expect from such a cheap soap? The Every Man Jack balm is very soothing as well as moisturizing, although its scent is not to my liking. All in all a very good, close shave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The alum bit. My wife found the brush while we were out last week. It's the same type my father used on the rare occasion he used a brush. I have his, but it's crumbling. The boar was rough on my sensitive skin. I may try to bowl lather with it next.

Back to the realm of the DE for today after a pretty enjoyable run with the Colonial General SS SE. Today’s razor of choice the 1966 Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable. Fancy Slim yes but very good razor in my opinion. Loaded with a Wilkinson and dialled to 5 it is a smooth shaver for sure. Henri et Victoria Terre d’Henri was at hand and a great choice for an office Tuesday. Subtle in scent and awesome in performance. Matching balm is quite nice also. Two lovely passes to achieve DFS level and off we go. Quick spritz of Guerlain Habit Rouge to finish the morning routine. Happy Tuesday all! Possibly one of the most underrated scents in all of shavery. I stocked up on this one just in case PAA ever runs out of product. I have written PAA and requested this one eventually get its own name/label. Regardless, I'll be covered if that never happens.
