  1. Thanks, Tim!
Kiritimati is a good one. Definitely worthy of at least a sample.
  2. Jan 21st

    Razor: Schick G Type
    Blade: Schick Injector
    Brush: Simpson X3 Best Badger
    PS: Proraso Red
SS & AS: Stirling Ramblin' Man

The Stirling Ramblin'n Man performed great per the norm. Still trying to kill the samples I purchased in early December. I did try using a hot lather. I put my kettle on a smart plug in the kitchen and activated it right before I showered. This worked okay, but having to go out to the kitchen between my shower and my shave was annoying. I'll just use the hot tap water during the week from now on.

Shaved with the Schick G Type on a recommendation from Jason @jtspartan. I can see why people like the Schick injector razors. It was smooth and easy to use. Less aggressive but aggressive enough to get a good shave. 3 passes with quite a bit of cleanup on my neck and chin. Not sure if the cleanup was required due to technique or a less aggressive razor, probably a combination of both. The shave was completely irritation free which is always nice. I certainly choose a little stubble over irritation. So the Schick G Type moves from the pile of random stuff that came with other stuff, to something I'll use from time to time. In fact, I just ordered 2 more 7 count packs.

  13. I steamed the knot out of the Rudy Vey much like the I did in the photo below. I destroyed the Shavemac handle to keep the knot intact. I cleaned up an remaining adhesive in the RV handle and on the Shavemac knot. To set the knot I used aquarium safe silicon.

  14. Nice shave Clint. Really like the looks of the OneBlade. If only... Not sure what I was going to say, but I'll say it again. If only...

  15. Pour over and French press coffee makers also work well with electric kettles, Jim. Just in case you needed for more uses for it.

  19. I hadn't thought to try without a blade installed... Dry practice for shaving. Interesting idea.
  20. Thank you, Blair! Both of the scents a top notch. Just as an public service announcement, Kiritimati may not be around much longer (at least until next year). They are getting rid of the seasonal scents. Kiritimati is a wear all year scent for me, though.
