Great shave, Terry! What kind of scissors did you use to modify the blade. I used and ruined a pair of my wife’s cuticle scissors. The blade never sat properly for me.
Terrific shave, Jim! Yeah, I wouldn't buy it because of the strawberry aldehyde which is a synthetic chemical scent. I want real strawberries not fake ones!
Sorry to hear this. I know Matt Pisarcik from that Shave Collectibles Mtg I attended back in October outside Cincinnati. He’s a standup guy! In fact almost 7 feet tall. He’s taking very good care of my Rex Ambassador issue. It couldn’t hurt to send him an email.
It's been over a year so I would expect to be charged for it. It's ok. Eventually, I will send it out. Glad that he is going to look into your situation. I didn't think he was that tall.
Just a heads up, Charcoal Goods put up some Stainless LvL2 razors with various handles to choose from.
January Focus Vintage Williams~~Rubberset 400/3~~Feather AC/Super Professional~~Cigar Aficionado If it's Wednesday, it must be time for a Williams shave. Took some extra time, before I head up to my university gig for a great shave. I haven't used the Williams in a while and the puck was flopping around in the container. Gave it a good bloom and it still moved around while loading, but there's little, which can stop the Rubberset from achieving its goal. In typical fashion, the tallow-based soap created a sumptuous, protective lather for the Feather AC to work its own magic. Yes, Terry, I realize that the Feather blades are "sprinters", but this one apparently didn't get the message. It has been used at least 5 times prior to this morning and today was as smooth and sharp as the first. Travel gear for the next days is packed. So, it's time to hit the proverbial highway. Oh, forgot to say that the Cigar Aficionado aftershave received the coveted SWMBOSOA©.
January 22 SOTD: Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley Blade: Polsilver Brush: PAA Starcraft Lather: PAA Doppelgänger Ox Blood Label Aftershave: PAA Doppelgänger Ox Blood Label I used the Ox Blood label Doppelganger this morning, which appears to not be a current offering from PAA. I am not sure if it will be back ever, but it is a dupe of Penhaligon's Sartorial. I have never smelled Sartorial, so I can't comment on how accurate this representation is, but I definitely like it. This scent is similar to Brut (or Et Tu), but definitely different. There is a nice leather component with some musky notes. The tonka bean is notable and a honey component as well. There is also some myrrh mixed in and something that is familiar, but I can't quite place it. Almost like a cardamom type of scent, but I am bit sure. Either way, there is something lurking underneath that just feels familiar. It is a terrific scent. After two easy passes, I had a nice DFS and a healthy splash of AS has me smelling good. I hope everyone has a great day!
Terrific picture, Joseph. I have seen you use Cigar Aficionado before, and it always has me curious. I feel the enabling coming on.
