A Modern American made razor day. This 1/4 Hollow Hart Steel Razor gave a flawless shave, and wiped off three days growth, with no effort. For a 1/4 Hollow, it sure is noisy. This Boar brush has the perfect amount of softness, and backbone, that I like. Razor- Hart Steel. USA. Brush- Stirling Boar. Soap/Cream- AOS Kingsman. Bourbon scented. Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy.

Micallef Osaïto I'm going reluctantly try a 4th shave on one of these Feather blades made for the OneBlade. The 4th shave is usually the point where I wish I had changed the blade, so it's a tad risky. I want to give it another try. Maybe it won't tug this time... ***EDIT - The 4th shave wasn't comfortable. The blade didn't tug, but it didn't cut clean and I could feel the whisker resistance. So, it's pretty clear that comfortable shaves per blade are what I get. Such an expensive situation. The first two shaves especially are of the highest quality. No disputing that. The 3rd shave is solid and respectable, but the 4th shave doesn't feel like I'm getting the results of the high price I paid for this luxury shaver. I still love the shave this gives on those first few though. The overall finish of the shave was BBS and I can't knock the outcome of the 4th shave, but it didn't have the extreme comfort and perfection of that it gets on those first two shaves or the minimum expected comfort of the 3rd shave. All in all, I still enjoyed the shave. I used the alum block out of paranoia, but the shave came out real good on the results regardless and I got minimal feedback.

Thanks Gary! I think it's one of the more underrated sets of mine. The gray stone theme was not immediately something I was able to figure out. But as I kept thinking outside the box I managed to assemble a rather unique modern-meets-old world aesthetic.
