Awesome shave, photo, and report! I've really enjoyed using Soap Commander the last week or so--gonna be an every-other-day soap for sure. :)

Didn't have a whole lot of time for photos, but I was able to squeeze in a quick 2 pass, no touch-up shave:
    • Flare Tip w/Personna blade (3)
    • Stirling Sandpiper soap
    • Frost Drops--after shaving, I added a single drop to my remaining lather, coated my face and kept it on as I cleaned up. Cold water rinse.
    • Aqua Velva Ice Blue splash
    • Glacial Unscented Balm
No drama, DFS mostly, CCS along chin mostly.

Inspired by how little effort/time it took to get serviceable results yesterday, I figured I could fit in a 3 pass (WTG, XTG left to right, XTG right to left) shave in before work. Probably got overconfident. Small weeper along chin, and something that felt like a pretty decent cut, but no blood or visible mark, right on my upper lip. I can feel it, but can't see it--strange. Moral of the story: lay off on the hubris and slow things down. Still, a pretty decent shave: DFS/CCS, weeper disappeared before rinse, and the one issue that I feel doesn't even appear to be visibly real. Could have been much worse.
    • Flare Tip w/Personna (4)
    • Soap Commander Drive
    • Frost Drops--one drop during face wash, and one drop with remaining lather reapplied after the shave. Cold water rinses for both.
    • Clubman Original AS
    • Glacial Unscented balm
    Will slow things down tomorrow.

Thanks, Jim. Yeah, that's a bit of a first for me. Normally my bites are bites. Dunno... maybe this was a tiny localized case of razor burn? :signs002:

I really enjoy the SynBad as well, Neal. The 30mm is even more of a 'wall of hair' feel. That New Deluxe is awesome as well.
A feather/MonoBilt combo? You, sir, have arrived.
Keith has become quite the enabler with these hot scuttles, that's for sure. I didn't even know there were 6 types of lavender scent...you learn something new everyday.
I guess the good news is that the bottle didn't shatter, Joe. You can always replace a cap. Can you imagine a bottle of Clubman smashing on a tile floor? That's another reason why it comes in plastic- slows the potential contamination...
Love the Colonia, Clint. 'Boringly efficient' is a very good thing, imho.
I said a few years ago that Neal resembled DB Cooper...
Your scent descriptions are becoming incredibly informing, Jim. Awesome.
I see there is a chap selling a whole bunch of different English Flat Bottoms on the Marketplace thread. Didn't even know there were that many until your pics and info have shown people what is out there. Awesome collection.
The Red Tip just my be my favourite Gillette TTO. Great shaver. That or the 'Crat Jr.
    Great shave, Perry!
Yup, you are right about the Proraso. I need to bring it out soon, too.
Great report, Blair! Looks like Keith wins the 'enabler of the month' prize on here...
Buy it! 'tis a beaut for sure, Charlie.
I have it in a splash. Nice scent. L'Orange Noir is still my fave Fine dupe, I think.
Very informative write up, Tim. Good advice to slow down, especially when we get overconfident.

    Wonderful shot Jim!
    Great shave Joe!
    Beautiful shave Clint!
That's some high praise Jason! Gorgeous shot!
I've had an experience recently that has convinced me that a scent can change as you use the soap more. Perhaps this is due to some of the EO's and FO's evaporating from the top layer of soap as it cures.
    Awesome setup, Gary!
    Fantastic shave Evan!
Awesome photo, Perry! That LC looks fantastic!
    Excellent photo and report, Joseph!
    Great shaves Blair!
Overconfidence will get you every time. Nice rebound Tim!

First of all, my apologies for the delayed posting. Every 6 months I have a medical procedure that knocks me out. I shaved early and quickly this morning, but needed to leave for the procedure and didn’t get the chance to post anything after snapping the photo! The shave was good; the LaResche 77 delivered the goods for a decent DFS all around, both face and noggin. Really like this Soap Commander’s Barbershop scent. But I’m exhausted, so will keep it brief. I left feeling clean, smooth and refreshed! Returned home feeling like I was hit by a Mack truck.

    RAZOR: LaResche 77
    BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA’s Preshave Cube Soap
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Soap Commander Honor
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Ogallala Bay Rum/ Sandalwood AS Splash
