Friday January 24th SOTN Well, was delayed at work and home very late tonight. I received the Russian Taiga in the mail today and just had to give it a quick run before bed. 3 quick and smooth passes. Very quick and simple to find the narrow shave angle. Wow... Much more comfy for me than a Rex for sure. I'm going to take my time tomorrow night . I can't wait to try the open comb base plate. Happy shaves all. Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

2020-01-25, Saturday A month ago you were about to eat as if you were rescued castaways: have you lost the accumulated fat? Have you checked your cholesterol? Do you eat a lot of fiber? Do you work out? Or your most intense activity is lathering your face? I do: each and very morning I display heavy equipment by the window, shoot a photo and put all the gear back! So I a fit, slim and attractive! And a bit of a liar, but this is part of training: I want to be a politician! My shave? A repeating story... Saturday: hot shower w/Castelbel Bergamot & Tobacco bar soap Maggard Lavender PSO Gillette FatBoy (7) 3 passes SuperMax Super Stainless Blue plus (1) Omega boar Through the Fire Neroli Soleil soap in a warm bowl Thayers Lavender WH Hoyt's Cologne Excellent shave this morning. First time with the SuperMax SS Blue plus so I dialed back the FatBoy to 7 though I could have had it wide open as the SuperMax was very smooth. Hadn't splashed on Hoyt's in a while but I'm not expecting to win anything.
Saturday Straights' Shave Cold Water Rinse PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream Jayaruh #383 Fredrick Reynolds 5/8 CWR PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm The PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #383 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fredrick Reynolds 5/8 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
●1914 ●London Morning soap 2 pass BBS, slight irritation. The 1914 needs replaced; it takes too much time and trouble to keep the blade seated on what's left of the stops when the door shuts. Have posted in WTB regarding this. A/S: Dickinson's, Lucky Tiger and later something very mentholated.
Saturday morning: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Derby day 6 Culmak SS Bull Dog Moisturizer Sir Canada Cedar AS Splash Here’s a soap which I haven’t used in a very long time - this Culmak from the UK has a hell of a nice scent which seems to be a blend of lavender and citrus, at least to me. It lathers great although it’s not too slick but it still has pretty good skincare to it. The Bull Dog moisturizer felt so soothing on my skin afterwards, and the Canada Cedar aftershave is not from Canada at all - it’s from Germany and it has a lovely old school scent. Three passes cleaned me up superbly and left me as smooth as a baby’s tukhis! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
