That handle is BOSS! And a first attempt? I keep looking and the more I do, the more impressed I am with the knurling. Don't look simple to me. Call this a win, and always make sure people know you made it yourself
Thanks, Jimbo. I've already forgotten about it. Thanks, Blair. Good advice. Thanks for the nice comment, Tim. Thanks, James.
I am sorry you had to go through that, Charlie. Perhaps I should drive over to help you properly dispose of the shrimp. Looks like a wonderful time!
Thanks Jim! I like my DX. It's taking some practice but I can tell it's quality. Not quite a straight razor but pretty close.
Nothing starts the day off like an epic shave i’m fueling the jet now on my way to join you for dinner.
Sunday Shave: Today's entrant in the hot scuttle test is Castle Forbes, one of my favorites. Much to my happiness it performed outstanding in my huge scuttle. The lather in the scuttle looked super airy with big bubbles and no lather, apply to face and everything is good including the slickness. My big 8/8 full hollow Friodur has a nice edge and the shave was epic, making to epic shaves in a row.
Glad you enjoyed your shave Jason. Not sure of the timing so, good luck or hope it went well, whichever is appropriate at this point.
Warning : BLOOD LOSS. Graphic pic ! What started out as another simple night of hot bowl lathering ( I can't believe I bowl lathered again) turned into wishing I had purchased 3 or more styptic pencils. Loaded a new Shick blade in the E3 and actually made a decent Williams hot lather . Then....the fun started with one then two then three weepers and they just kept coming. Not one to give in , I rinsed up and relathered since the damage was done. Made it through the 2nd passs before dousing the flames in witch hazel and dotting toilet tissue where needed . Once the aftershave hit my face I made a sound unlike anything I've heard myself utter before and I swear every porch light came on in our street . Have a good night!
Ouch! Sorry about the rough shave, Patrick. I wonder what the cause was? Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
