Just noticed something. I was here for 2 years on the 23rd. Time sure flew past . Thanks guys for having me and for being there when I needed advice , support , or a good laugh to make me smile . You guys are the best !
Nice shave and gear, Evan. I have never used a kamishavette so I may be out of order with this comment. I don't understand why you aren't getting feedback from it because you should get one when using a DE blade. However, I have relied on muscle memory when I have used my wedge straight razor which doesn't give any feedback. I would suggest that you land the razor flat and lift slightly until the blade catches the whiskers to cut them down and then remember that angle. You will be less dependent on feedback when doing this. However, I admit that it is nice to hear scraping burnt toast while shaving.
Thanks Jim. I knew it was sometime in January I joined but never really kept track of the exact date .
I like them sharp....very sharp. This kinda baffled me Gary. It is agressive for an E3 I know but it never tore me up like this before .
Well, bloodletting does happen, but thank goodness it is a rare occurance. Sorry about the bloody shave, Patrick, but the gear was top notch.
Thanks Gary. Ive been saying on my 2 year Anniversary I would repeat the 30 day rule that started me out in here . I dont know the exact date I started the rule on but it was after a few days of asking questions then I took the plunge.
I'm thinking it was the blade . I've been using open blades , shavettes, agressive razors and home made contraptions for MAYhem which never cut me like this before . Ive used this razor alot and it is the first time it drew blood .
Thanks, but if you're gonna call me Keith, then @Keithmax and I need to trade places. I'd go for that. Not sure he would think that was a fair deal.
