    I have some Reserve soaps that are over two years old. I'll have to give them a go to see if the performance has dropped. I was thinking B&M as part of my March focus.

    I've never smelled Aramis either, Jim. A great looking razor and brush for sure!

    Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm still catching up on Sunday's posts, but figured I'd post Monday's shave now:
    • Razor: Gillette Flare Tip
    • Brush: Kong
    • Soap: Soap Commander "Drive"
    • Menthol: Frost Drops (one drop to lather per pass)
    • AS: AV Blue Ice
    • Balm: Glacial Unscented

    A very nice 3 pass shave. BBS, but with slight irritation around the lower jaw and corners of the mouth. As Paul would say it: an "almost excellent" shave ;)

    In preparation for February's 30DC, I'm going to revert to the 2 1/10 pass shave (touch ups around corners of the mouth and lips only). I need an irritation-free blank slate to start with, and I need to practice settling with the results of the 2 1/10 pass shave after so many wonderful BBS shaves over the last couple weeks. I am simultaneously looking forward to and dreading the upcoming 30DC--it will be a time of great comfort and loss.
