  1. Thanks, Jim! It did the job, although I was admittedly cautious throughout the shave! That baby can bite if one isn’t careful!

  2. Thanks, Jim! It’s a great shaver if one takes care!

  3. Thanks, Keith! Apologies for my ignorance! I know nothing about straight razor shaving.

  5. Thanks, Joseph! It’s a good shaver, but definitely not a daily driver nor a head shaver!

  6. That is very good news, Clint! So happy for Asha that she is going to attend her first choice as well. I know you will be happy having a quick trip down to see her, if needed, too.

  7. Thank you, Tim!
    Congrats to Asha!

  8. Thanks, Tim! At my point in life, if I don’t, I’m in real trouble! My list just reflects the state of the safety razor industry past and present coupled with what was a serious case of RAD over the last year.
  9. Another great shave, Neal. Love that Aristocrat!

  10. Congratulations, Clint! You’re right to be so proud of such an accomplished daughter! She sounds like a remarkable young woman! She did it, but you and Maya set the stage!

  11. More swank looking shaves. Sorry the soap doesn't perform as nicely as it looks, but happy to hear the Wacker Huntsman does--beautiful razor!

  14. Wonderful GEM-onday shave, Terry. I have yet to try Stirling's Sandalwood. I did like their Vanilla Sandalwood, though, so I might have to spring for a sample the next time I get the itch.

  15. Thanks, Jason, I was very fortunate to get it! A French LeCoq collector on another forum was downsizing his collection and knew from my comments admiring his posts that I was looking for a LeCoq Cage Head. So he contacted me and here it is! I’ve only had it for a few months.

    Menthol Monday

    Razor: Gillette RedTip
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Machined Aluminum w/ Maggard 24mm Silvertip Badger Knot
PS: Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap & Proraso Green
SS & AS: Chiseled Face Cryogen

I did another hot lather this morning. My face was so confused. Nice hot lather with tons of menthol feels really good. I'm thinking I'll do a 30 day focus with RedTip Voskhod combo. Perhaps I'll use my new brush as well.

I scrubbed my face with Stirling Pre-Shave soap while in the shower. Left it for a few seconds until my face was nice and tingly, and then rinsed right before stepping out. Added proraso green to keep my face prepped and ready while I finished preparing my lather. The kettle was nice and hot so I filled the scuttle and my lather bowl, added some hot water to the soap and loaded the brush. I built the lather on my face while adding hot water from my bowl. Eventually the lather was creamy smooth right on my face. Shaving with the RedTip is always fun. The QShave scuttle kept the lather hot enough for a pleasant warm sensation followed by a chill as my nerves sent both warm and cool sensations to by brain. Great 3 pass shave to a smooth BBS finish. :)

I skipped the alum and just applied the aftershave. The menthol got my eyes watering pretty good, but the AS was sting free. Excellent Monday morning shave.

    Have a great week everyone!
