  2. GEMonday for myself today, I nailed this shave with my Gem Featherweight with a new Gem coated blade. This razor is such a joy with a new Gem blade and is excellent for breaking in a new Gem blade that is one of the sharpest smoothest blades MFG in the shaving world IMO. I figured I would have a close shave with a new blade but not a BBS. It can sometimes happen like some one mentioned when you are not aiming for dolphin skin smooth BBS shave.

    Razor : Gem Featherweight(1oz) standard model-Mfg 1950-53
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (1)
Soap: Santa Maria del Fiore "Firenze"- great soap to use if you like light tobacco, vanilla.....
Brush : Razorock Plissoft 24 mm.
Pre-shave: Shower+ brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: AVON "True Gent"cologne with witch Hazel- very nice tobacco ............+ Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]

  11. Gary, I'd be quite interested in your thoughts on the Bill Neumann soap. Thanks in advance.

  13. That looks like a nice shave. I haven't smelled CK Eternity Aqua before. I think I'll look for it if it's still being sold at retailers.

  14. Oooh yeah. I had the Salter Sandalwood cream this morning. Easily a top-5, maybe even top-3 lather in my den. When advertisers use the term 'luxury', it almost never delivers, but when I shave with the Salter cream 'luxury' is precisely the word that fits the experience. One of the best. I perhaps only favor my 2015-era Catie's Bubbles Le Piment de la Vie cream and the PAA CK6 lathers. I would put the Salter cream ahead of Martin de Candre. That's just how great it is in my opinion.
  15. Wow. Your picture wasn't showing up until I replied to the post. I will have to smell this one at my local Art of Shaving mall store. I *love* AOS's Green Lavender scent.
  16. Woah. There are some good shaving sets posted today. Nice razor!
