1. I am still quite new to wet shaving right now. of the two ones I own, my favorite would be my Gillette 1956 blue tip, I've got some of the best shaves from it and it's very mild. Feel free to list your favorite razor down below.
  2. After years of collecting and sampling, of the small handful of favorites I've kept the all metal Clix EZ Flo is still the one I'd grab in a fire. Mostly because zamak has zero chance of survival, but it's my overall best shaver. Plus it's an oddball and I always pull for an underdog.
  3. I love the Gillette RedTip. I have a 1955 (A2) I use regularly. I also really like fatboys and the NEW LC. Hard to pick a favorite but those are among my top for sure.
  4. very nice!

  6. They don't come up very often but they don't seem to be in high demand when they do. More often than not you'll see one with a zamac cap on a bakelite base plate. Mine is all metal with a different (but dead matching) zamac handle.

Used gun blue on it a couple months ago and it turned out fantastic.

    The new wilkinson (ntb)

  12. I'll break it down by blade. My favorites are not necessarily the best shavers I own and are subject to change without notice.

    DE blades
    Famex

    SE Gem style blades
    Gem Clog Pruf Peerless model

    SE Injector style blades
    Schick Type E3

If I had to use only one of those on a daily basis it would most likely be the Gem Clog Pruf right now.
  13. My current favorite is the Rockwell Model T
    I also love:
    Merkur Futur
    Rockwell 6s
    Merkur 39c
    Gillette Aristocrat
    Maggard Slant
  14. Toss up between the Cooper MonoBilt and the Shake Sharp 2.0. The shake sharp is probably the better shaver, but I like the build and feel of the MonoBilt better.
  15. I agree, lists are meaningless and most just list the most obscure one they can think of. If you want a nice shave get a Schick Krona or an early Gillette Super Speed. DE blades are readily available so you should be able to use them for a life time.

So most are lying, in your judgment?
  17. my list is the most favorites of my collection.no fooling anyone here..don't like lists don't read it..
  18. I have a fair number of razors and I do use them all, over periods of time, but to get to the point, The two I use religiously, are my Merkur Progressive and my Blackland Dart! In reality, I don't need any more, than those two!
  19. NEW SC, pre-war Tech and 05 Single Ring - vintage
    Copper Windsor - modern day
  20. By blade works for me!

DE: Shake Sharp Mk 1.5 - Colonial Silversmith (dead even)

    GEM: MMCP (Micromatic Clog Pruf)

    AC: Blackland Vector
