January Focus AoS Sandalwood~~Mondial 26mm~~Boker I have decided to rid my den of almost 50% of its overwhelming contents. The liberating feeling is outstanding. I am indeed moving along high-quality gear, but knowing that I can never use it all and that my son doesn't share my interest, there's no logical reason to have so much. Eventually, I am going to just keep triple-milled soaps and my favorite scents. Razor and brush acquisition is coming to a stand-still. I have an order for a Wolfman, but as I indicated in a response a few days ago, it's unlikely I'll be following through. Is Primo on a "NB"? No, Primo is just "getting real". Today's shave features one of my "must keep" products, Art of Shaving Sandalwood. The soap is the long-discontinued tallow version, manufactured by Valobra. The ASG/ASB are also the original formulas. Amazing scent; amazing lather; amazing slickness. The Boker, with its @gssixgun edge, cleaned off the 24 hour stubble with ease. The post shave products leave the skin wonderfully hydrated and nourished. It's a great day.

Jan 28 Good morning, fellas! Shavette Shave #129 Parker SRB Rockwell 1/2 DE (3) Stirling Boar Brush Razorock Classic Soap Old Spice AS Nivea ASB Decided to bloom this soap so that I can get a preshave. The RR Classic soap really is easy to lather and the marzipan scent is nice. This is my 3rd shave with the Parker Shavette and it really is a good shaver. I have it dialed in so that it really is easy to use. With 41 hr whiskers to mow, 2 passes with minor touchups produced an IBBS++ shave. Applied the Old Spice and then the Nivea ASB to finish this shave. Have a great day, guys!
January 28th Occam’s Razor w Polsilver (1) APShaveCo Badger-Boar/ Resin&Sapele Highland Springs Kootenay Blue Thayers Jeeves Mountain Rain Back to the Occam’s, this time with the partially scalloped ‘middle’ plate. Whipped up a really nice lather. This is a good soap. The brush may look like mainly a badger, but there is obviously lots of boar in there too as it continues to be scritchy. It has softened a bit, and is quite a densely packed knot. Dropped another hair as well, but produced a nice lather. I thought this middle plate the least smooth of the 3 on the first few go arounds, but it was very smooth today. I didn’t go truly ATG on my neck, though. As such, I am quite smooth everywhere besides my lower neck. Finished with the Mountain Rain to keep the Jeeves January going. Have a great day all!
