  1. Nice pic Gary! Really stepping it up lately.

Great post Joseph! Thinking of thinning the razor herd here also.

    Beautiful pic Mark!
I see you have a few shavette shaves under your belt as well. Great stuff Joe!

    Awesome shave Jason!

  7. Thanks, Jason!
  8. Thanks, Gary! Right back at you!
  9. Fantastic shave and recap Joseph. I really need to do a smaller version of your den clearing. We will likely be too old to care before our turn comes up on the Wolfman.
  10. Very nice, Jim. The only AV I had was the Ice Sport a few years ago. Ended up not keeping it, but would be intrigued by the original, I think.
  11. Thank you Gary.
  12. Fantastic Tobacco Tuesday, Perry! Love those G Schicks for sure.
  13. thank you Jason, british and late 40s? opinions vary on the date.the flat bottom tech continued after this one.
  14. Another great pic and review, Jim. You should be writing the PAA catalogue for them.
  15. Gorgeous photo Mark.
  16. I could write the same review about the Felce Everytime, Clint- A favourite base and an intoxicating scent.
  17. Thank you Amigo. I think you'll really like the Felce Aromatica.
  18. Thanks, Patrick! I am scheduled to hit 300 open blade shaves sometime in March. It would be 150 straight and 150 shavette shaves. Right now, I have 146 straight shaves and 129 shavette shaves. So, you will see more shavette shaves sprinkled in with safety shaves until I get almost even with the number of straight shaves.

    Chatillon Lux - Santal Auster

Quick shave today. 2 pass DFS+ results with no issues. Face lather, super thick, PAA's CK-6 unscented today, a little under hydrated....but worked just fine. 1st pass with the RA on 4.5, 2nd on 1.5. Super smooth, almost caught the baby, only finding a smidgeon of scruff left on neck under right earlobe. Small dose of ASB Star Jelly, followed with Chatillon Lux Santal Auster (sample). Wifey and family approved, but not a repurchase for me. Sandalwood yes, Oud, yes, fresh cut wood, yes, powdery notes......a bit odd & off, kind of like your grandmother walked by, um, not for me.

Here's the scent description from CT (edited for clarity of the scent description):

Santal Auster Parfum Extrait melds the ancient cultural traditions and rituals that incorporate the most sought-after of woods: Mysore sandalwood. The sandalwood accord used in Santal Auster is rich and creamy with powdery notes that are evocative of this freshly cut wood. Supporting this sandalwood accord are precious ceremonial oils, rich, leathery notes of oud mix together with rich, refined incense notes of opoponax and styrax and the subtly earthy and animalic undertones of dark-aged patchouli and castoreum.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
  20. Beautiful shave and photo Joe.
