I am moving a little slow this morning. Just being lazy I guess. Another automatic shave this morning with everything playing well together. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I am off to the office. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Schick Plus Platinum
    Razor: Schick G5
    Brush: JR #60 synthetic
    Soap: RazoRock Blue Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Blue Barbershop aftershave

Another one pass and done this morning. A little clean up on my chin and neck but certainly not a second pass. I seem to be fighting some kind of cold but the symptoms aren't my usual, so I wasn't as interested this morning in the whole routine. Sort of groggy and tired. In any event, the shave was uneventful and fairly smooth for one pass. RazoRock makes good and inexpensive products.

    Enjoy your day!

  7. Wonderful shave and photo, Clint!
  8. Ah, The Fat. Nice shave, Terry!
  9. Terrific shave and picture, Jim! Could just be me but it seems like a majority of your scent reports lately (which have all been top notch) have included a tobacco element. Does he work it in to every scent he can? :)
  10. Excellent shave, Tom. I remarked in my shave that RazoRock makes inexpensive and quite good products.
  11. Just a wonderful photo as usual, Jim! Very nice.
  12. Enjoy the new razor. The Schick M is one of my favorite injectors. Try it on the different settings and crank it on up to 8 as you get comfortable. I leave it on the highest setting now but used it for a long time on setting 5. It's a wonderful razor.

    Eufros Tobacco~~Simpson "The Duke"~~2011 Mühle R41/Perma Sharp~~Aramis
Gotta hit the highway, but there's time enough to post a great shave.
Who would think that a DE razor can be even more "dangerous" than a straight?

    Whenever I use the R41, I feel like I am a shave :whacky024:
This razor demands concentration and a deftly, light touch.
    The blade-choice is also important.
Today's Perma Sharp wasn't as smooth as I would have hoped.
    No cuts, no nicks, thankfully.
I am taking the Mühle with me, so I'll get some practice.
Aramis Tobacco Reserve compliments the Eufros nicely.
  14. Thanks, Clint!
Yeah, I don't know what it is. I just can't pick up any real scent with this one.
    Thank you, Jim!
Very kind of you to say!

    Beautiful blues, Perry!
I hope you get to feeling better soon.
  16. Thanks Perry!
    Quite a nice combo.

  17. Thanks, Perry!
Pretty picture, Joseph! The 2011 R41 is on the short list of razors I'd like to try.
    Have a safe trip.
  18. Wow, I get busy and fall 500+ posts behind. Just have a few minutes so I will update another hot lather test. Decided since I had the L'Occitane soap out I would give a go in the hot scuttle. The lather was bubbly and air even after I applied and slickness felt like it does under normal conditions for me, good but not great. But before I rush to judgement I did have an epic shave, even though the Nichiri "Real Japanese Hollow Ground" sports a fantastic edge I still need everything to be top notch to get an epic shave... so not sure what to think about the soap.

I learned something important, even though I love my Tom White B-400 the handle got so hot that I could not hold it. I had to run the handle under cold water so I cold use the brush.
