January 30th Afternoon SOTD I had an overdue haircut this afternoon so followed it up with an afternoon shave. I switched things up a bit and pulled out my Gillette Aristocrat Jr. I had a pretty sweet 3 pass shave with 1 little weeper on the neck. Pretty comfy otherwise. I may do a repeat tomorrow. Happy shaves all. Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

January 2020 January 30 Razor - RazoRock Wunderbar Blade - (1) Soap - Soap Commander Courage Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum Anybody notice I didn't shave yesterday? Yeah, I didn't think so but that's ok. I actually skipped the past two days which set up a three day growth for tonight. Time to choose a different razor so I thought to myself...."self, you need an aggressive razor to handle this". So, I chose the RazoRock Wunderbar Slant. Heavy razor with that wicked slant that provides an excellent shave and lots of reduction with every pass. Still working on the Soap Commander and I will be for a bit longer. I'm thinking it will die sometime in February. I may change up how I work on it next month but I think I can get to the empty jar by the end of it. I used the 30DC LE Synthetic brush with Tuxedo knot from @jtspartan. Fine brush for a very fine lather. So, how many passes did the Wunderbar need to turn a three day growth into a baby smooth shave? Two plus a bit of touchup on the neck. That's it. This thing will mow it down and it was a smooth as it could be. I"m sure the Voskhod helped with that, of course. Together that razor and blade are a wicked combination. Love it. Tomorrow is Friday!! And the final day of January!!! Which means, for our international brethren and overly caffeinated members - February will be ready to go in a couple of hours. We've got a fantastic January still in progress so let's finish it strong as we move on to February Favorites!! Have a great day.

Friday's Shave Cold Water Rinse CTAPT Shaving Cream Jayaruh #340 TAR by Tom Gillette Silver Blue CWR Cella ASB The CTAPT Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #340 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TAR by Tom (2) with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This was another great shave with The TAR. Tomorrow I will be moving up to 3 for my shave.
