  1. Some blades are known to smooth out after that initial shave . Try shaving your arm hair first then move on to your face after .

Love Proraso....yeah, the tubs have a slightly less slick face feel in between passes versus the creams, but the tub options are still slick enough in my world to straight razor shave with. Not all creams/croaps/soaps (artisan or big manufacturer) have that capability with examples I have, and you slowly reach a point of not wanting to keep them around.

That is a really cool setup today Andrew! Sounds like you found a great deal also....:signs107:

Neat Patrick! Can't wait for the reports!

Hey.....I hope to look as good as a couple them fellows at that age! Takes work......

  3. May try one on the head tonight since it's not part of my rule but have been doing both with same gear so far. Looking like I will run out of Shaverboy blades before the 30 days are up anyway.
I love the Proraso in tub but agree about slickness from tube being better Blair.

  4. I couldn't agree more, and that is normally where I am. And you bring up an interesting point: this is not normally how I shave. I'm doing it this way to gauge how effective each of these razors are, but if I allow touch-ups and buffing, I'll just shave till I get the results I want. Perhaps I'll alter my last week shaves to see how well they each do with some 'soul-shaving' rather than something so technical. Thanks for that! :D

If you are a father to elementary or middle school kiddos....check to see if they have the Watch D.O.G.S. program, or a copy of it. Completely worth the time invested, even if all the time you can donate is volunteering on your kid's birthday! I did lots of volunteer time when the girls were in ES and MS, was the program coordinator for their MS. We had over 100 dads involved at the elementary, and 34 at one point with the middle school.

  9. Do believe I had a Personna in a sample pack someone gave me . Can't remember if I used it or not. Still have the blade bank I started with 2 years ago. Comes in handy when I forget if I used a certain blade or not . Its a clear plastic spice container so i give it a shake till I see if what I'm looking for is in there .

    Razor: Gillette RedTip
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Aluminum w/ Maggard 24mm Silvertip Badger
    PS: Proraso Red
    SS: MWF
    AS: Osage Rub

This is going to be interesting. I'm not sure how long it has been since I shaved with the same combo two days in a row. MWF makes it easy. Great shave. Not a lot of commentary beyond that. DFS shave.

I woke up to a phone call and this message:

I was a little concerned and then I looked outside:

So I decided to drive to work. But before I got there:

Happy I get to use that 4WD knob every now and again. For some reason the office parking lot was empty.

    Yesterday was tee-shirt weather.
