    Razor: Gillette RedTip
    Blade: Voskhod (5)
Brush: Jtspartan with 24mm hybrid knot
    PS: Proraso
    SS: MWF
    AS: Williams AV

Might seem like a broken record, but I now see the wisdom of sticking to a focus and not changing too much at one time. While my shave still qualifies ad DFS I could tell the Voskhod edge was getting tired by the 3rd pass. 5 3 pass shaves is a little much. The alum was a little mean. No cuts or visible irritation but it was tugging by the end.

I like my silvertip badger knots but they do feel a little floppy at times. This 70/30 hybrid knot feels like a great balance. We'll see how it does after I finisg breaking it in. As for the handle, wow. Jason makes beautiful bowls an brushs.

Other than that, life is good.

  7. Very cool image Jason! Excellent setup for a favorites shave.

Oh boy...here we go. Vanilla and power with a bit of woodsy? Sold...over to PAA's site to add more to a shopping cart. Very nice travel shaves Jim! Love the image affect. Safe travels home!

Cool travel shave Joseph. Great image and report!

    Very nice setup Mark!

Ugh...no weather fun with all that happening. Came through DFW as cold/wet, turned into a little sleet early last night. Didn't stick....

Barely had enough time to skim yesterday's posts.....that Schick was very cool Perry! Nice image and setup today too!

    Good morning, guys!
    Shavette shave # 134
    Dovo Shavette
    Polsilver 1/2 DE blade (8)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
Stirling Bay Rum SS and AS
    Nivea ASB
I am off on this dreary Long Island morning so I slept a little longer and that's why I just finished my shave.
I like all my brushes, but my Rockwell synthetic really makes the nicest and most luxurious lathers in my collection, except for my C-mon. Today's lather was no exception. With only 2 passes, my Dovo shavette shaved my 41 hour growth w/o any blood or irritation for a IBSS++/BBS-. I thought I cut myself on the jawline so I hit the area with the styptic pencil. I did get a sting, but blood or any slash mark wasn't visible. Usually, I get a tell-tale sign of any skin rupture, but it was not the case in this instance. The blade was slightly tugging so I binned it after the shave. With 8 shaves on this blade, I don't need to go for number 9. I replaced the blade with a Personna headshaper to prepare for the next shave with this razor. Applied the nice smelling Bay Rum aftershave and then topped it with the Nivea. Make it a terrific Thursday guys! 20200205_231503.jpg 20200205_231503.jpg
