Here it is for "Throwback Friday"* prep-Dial 4 Men Bodywash(Max. Moisture)in shower shave-Phoenix A.A. "Boomtown" soap** brush-Stoylin "Pro Handle" Synthetic razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot + DisposeABLE A.S.-Clubman Special Reserve*** *Today wouldn't have worked for a throwback day, as I repeated my shave from Wednesday(Gillette Foamy followed by Stoylin Gentleman). The Foamy would have qualified, but Stoylinsoaps is entering it's 8th year-not much of a throwback there). **-It's Bay Rum, technically, but you also get gunpowder and leather. Bay Rum goes back to the 1600's, while since my parents loved watching GUNSMOKE in the late 50's that qualifies the GP for a nice throwback. ***I've decided to give up saying 1830(not 1810 as is on every Clubman product)is the year to credit Clubman's beginning. The famous "House Of Pinaud" was up and running in 1810 when Ed Pinaud was born. I guess their logic is, no birth of Ed Pinaud/no Clubman.
Yes, they do look significantly different, Joseph. The blooming of the knot has not been a problem of mine at all, obviously.

Maiden voyage for "PINK THING". Newly acquired, and honed. Little to no restoration needed. Just a little polishing up. I had a superb 2 pass shave, that left me Baby Dolphin Butt Smooth(BDBS). Zero issues, just perfection. I would rate this as possibly in the top 5 razors I have. It looks and feels like Swedish Silver Steel. It also honed up like it too. Funny, I kept hearing the song "Wild Thing", by the Troggs, in my head, as I was shaving. Razor- Geneva Cutlery Corp. Model 7N. Geneva New York. Brush- @oscar11 creation. Cobalt Blue/Black, w/Synthetic Knot by Franks. Soap- Wholly Kaw OUD. Fantastic scent. Very strong. Slick, good lather. Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Vikings Horn Decanter.

February Favorites February 6 Razor - El-Cheapo Chinese Pain Stick Thingy Blade - (2) Soap - Soap Commander Courage Brush - @Jayaruh #230 Post - Alum Last night's shave with the el-cheapo pain stick thingy worked well enough I decided to try it again. Just switched to Soap Commander and the JR230 for lather and gave it another try. I will admit that shavettes are the ones that usually draw blood on me the most often, while pain sticks are usually safe - as long as I stay focused. Well, apparently I'm focused enough to survive two shaves with this thing even with the Dorco blade. No cuts or other problems. Alum a bit warm which is usual for this kind of shave, for me anyway, but not overly hot or stingy. Can't really complain. Nice DFS after three passes so I'm good for all night and all day again. It's Friday in a few hours!!! Have a great start to the weekend.
Tabac Thursday SOTN A smooth and comfortable shave after skipping last night. The tabac hit the spot tonight - only one small weeper under the chin (stopped by alum) secondary to me going on silly cruise control but otherwise unscathed. The Schick proline is still going strong. Happy shaves all. Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
