Rare hollow ground 5/8 1920’s Salamander. I’ve mostly seen the Our Wedge version available.

Since I had those Fillys out to make images for the Filarmonica thread, might as well take one for a spin. Generation 1 Filarmonica 14 Especial, everything else was Acqua di Parma and a Keyhole 4 did the mixing. To quote Bugs Bunny, ‘Poifect’.

Maiden voyage for "PINK THING". Newly acquired, and honed. Little to no restoration needed. Just a little polishing up. I had a superb 2 pass shave, that left me Baby Dolphin Butt Smooth(BDBS). Zero issues, just perfection. I would rate this as possibly in the top 5 razors I have. It looks and feels like Swedish Silver Steel. It also honed up like it too. Funny, I kept hearing the song "Wild Thing", by the Troggs, in my head, as I was shaving.

Razor- Geneva Cutlery Corp. Model 7N. Geneva New York.
Brush- @oscar11 creation. Cobalt Blue/Black, w/Synthetic Knot by Franks.
Soap- Wholly Kaw OUD. Fantastic scent. Very strong. Slick, good lather.
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Vikings Horn Decanter.

Posting this one very late today, rushed morning, long day. The Antelope is due for a refresh. More than a bit of tugging. I was running late for a meeting so had stop after 2 passes. Nowhere near a BBS, but I’m probably the only one who noticed today.

Murphy and McNeil performed great! Really liking this soap.

German Lucky 7 Brand made for the J. Tarnow Co. of Toronto. Cool design on the blade face... worth the roll of the dice. :)

Thank you Karl and @atbat82 .

Shave #73 with the Filly 14 Sub Cero. Bill, it’s going to cruise past 75 unless I touch up the edge on the sink!

Very nice. I have the 6/8 Pyramid and it's an excellent razor.

Razorock the puck Orange and a turkish abzehk brush.

The razor is a french frameback. The text on the tang is salles a moissac. I think it was a cuttlery shop. I bought it, because a few years ago I visited the place on holliday.

Camera issues this morning. Of the 4 new Japanese razors I received I've only shaved with 3 so far. This Kikuboshi has provided the nicest shave so far. The Omega synthetic is a nice brush, perhaps my favorite (synthetic) but there are a couple of synthetics I like almost as much. I'm still a big fan of natural fibers, however. Friodur 472 was laser sharp this morning. I just got this and a Koraat back from @speedster who was nice enough to hone them for me. Mark- great job!

I’d also put this Thater brush up against anything else out there. It’s neck and neck with some far more expensive brushes and it blows my Simpson out of the water (but then again, my Simpson sheds like a Golden Retriever).

Touché, Steve -- your Filarmonica posts are encouraging me to consider a 14 over here.

This is another of the razors I sent out to Glen for a rehone. Holy cow - this one jumped up at least a notch and a half in performance. Absolutely fantastic shave today. I was ready to give up on this one. Glad I didn’t. :happy036:

Not only was the shave sharp and smooth, it’s about as close to a “bling” razor as I have. I’ve added a second photo highlighting the spine work.
