chose a better spot to put my "vintage" razors when not in use and keep modern ones in the bathroom. might replace it for a cigar box in the future.

 

Gorgeous brush, Jim! That shade of blue is a knockout! I love A&E balms. Never used any of their other products. Great shave report. I foolishly ended up slicing off the pad of my left pinky preparing dinner for SWMBO yesterday. Thus my lack of activity over the last two days.

So I know this will sound dumb, I don't have any mineral oil for lubrication, but I was wondering if a few drops of gun oil could be used? If not, maybe olive oil

No question is dumb Myles . Dont be afraid to ask. I would probably go with olive oil.

 

Wonderful shave report. Method one is my preferred lathering technique with MWF. I spread the paste and then add water by wetting the brush. I always enjoy your reports.

 

Very nice keepsake Myles. That would work too. After you are doing this for awhile you will probably need both boxes for your stuff.

I used canola oil on my Red tip and it worked just fine.

 

Saturday morning shave: Decided to go for hot lather with Castle Forbes and my Wootz steel Snail Forge Razor. Hot lather, sharp but smooth edge and epic results. The weekend is off to a good start.

 

well i'm in luck found some olive oil. gotta put a little in my blue tip

 

Yes . Keep it working smooth. Just a drop or 2 .
