I remember seeing that, and being impressed with such a simple yet effective solution--amazing how context can change the outcome on just about anything
Thanks, Jason! 12 hours after the shave, I found myself wondering if I would need to shave today. It was actually a very close shave... just not a very comfortable one.
February 10th Gillette RedTip w PermaSharp APShaveCo Flattop/ Sapele SV Felce Aromatica SS & AS Thayers 2nd use of ‘Combo#2’ for Fave Feb. Realized as I was shaving that I didn’t take a pic of the gear last night, so is a recycled shot from last week. Had a very nice 3 pass shave this morning. The lather was top notch, and of course my thoughts on the scent are well documented. A little short of perfect on my neck, but more than acceptable. Have a great day all!
Thanks, Jeff! The most difficult part of getting the 2nd blade in is getting the blade-end to fit in the catches (but I often struggle with that with just one blade). The top of my Ever Ready snapped down on the pair with no problems at all--would that were not the case, though

What do I do For a Monday Shave? Oh, I know the answer I'll use Burma Shave...... BURMA SHAVE. All right, I'll lose the corniness. Funny thing about these cake soaps is I find it hard to really appreciate them, but they do the job well. It spread well over the face and neck. No cuts/weepers, and I can't deny that's a good feeling. I wasn't pleased with my loading for pass #1, so I loaded a little more for #2. Aqua Velva Musk was a nice closer. Fine shave overall.
Thanks, Clint! They might not. Jeff's won't accept a 2nd blade, but mine will--kind of makes me wonder what's going on with my Ever Ready Still, when I load it properly, I get a great shave from it.
