    Open blades are fun. They provide a feeling of accomplishment and focus the mind. If anyone ever wonders if they should try... The answer is yes.

  11. Once initial newbie gear mesmerization fades, the Rule is the best way to really learn how razors work and gain technique mastery quickly. It's boring, but it's really the best thing a newbie can do for himself. It even makes razor collecting more fun, because each one can be appreciated for its intrinsic qualities as the skill will be sufficiently developed.
