  1. Awesome shave this morning with the R41 head on the Weber bulldog handle. Alum was quiet . Finished the shave off with a splash of Clubman aftershave lotion. It is very, very wet in Alabama today. Y'all take care. 20200211_062252.jpg
  2. Simply Beautiful Jim.
  3. I hope you feel better soon.
  4. Thank you, Patrick!
Hoping your little girl gets well soon.
    Looking good, Danny!
  5. Very cool razor Terry. :happy088:
  6. Thanks, Clint!
  7. Wow. That is one wicked cool blade Keith.
  8. Beautiful shave and photo Danny. I hear you. It just won't stop raining here. If the wind picks up any, I am afraid we are going to have trees start falling with this soaked soil.

I have left the Ambassador set on 5 and will likely do so until the cut from this weekend completely heals. The OS was easy to lather with a very nice scent. Three passes with touch ups along the jawline and buffing the lower right neck, caught the baby with ease. A splash of Small Batch Shave Tonic and I am off to my office. Plan on having fun with tax returns today. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
  10. Wonderful shave and picture, Clint!
  11. Glad to hear the razor is working well for you Terry!. I've noticed that since I began wetshaving that razor prices fluctuate on a certain auction site and some people are trying to cash in on our enjoyment for the finer things in life . One has to hold steady and look for the bargains . These people prey on the new people who may not know much about old razors with their ' rare ' or 'vintage ' ad descriptions. Local antiques store here has some great old gear from estates but the asking price is plainly outrageous. I know they have to make money too but old grimy razors are not worth the high price in my opinion. I suggested they clean them up before displaying and they may sell faster . The lady was quite surprised at my knowledge of what they had for stuff and I pointed out to her the ones that blades were scarce or unobtainable were not worth 45 bucks apiece. She admitted they priced accordingly to what they seen on the internet. I was surprised to get a shave stick case for 10 bucks that was showing up on the net for upwards of 200. I guess something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it . Glad to see you are finding these gems are giving them a new life . Love seeing these in action.
  12. Shes resting on the couch as we speak . Had me up at 5am. Seems to be feeling a bit better but rest is at a premium here . Thanks Clint for your concern my friend!
  13. Iced pineapple... niiiice! Great way to end Monday :D
  14. It's been worse this year by far. My kids all slept, or a miserable version of sleep, for days when it came through my house. Not sure how my wife and I have avoided it... but I'm sure I just jinxed it.

Hope your daughter feels better soon and you manage to avoid this Patrick.
  15. I am reading and I’m very pleased to see you’re enjoying the hot lather.

Open blades are fun and they do give some Zen moments to help calm your mind because you have to be focused.

Myles, hope you make a quick recovery.
  16. Nice Keith! Did you hot lather it or just use warm water? Or is it just one of those soaps?

Love the blacks , great blade , awesome shave and have fun with the taxes Clint!
  17. Good to hear. I hope he has time to join in again sometime.
  18. Thank you Jim. I don't want to jinx things but I am starting to really enjoy the Ambassador. On higher settings the thing is a beast.
  19. Rest seems to make most things better. I hope she continues to feel better as the day progresses.

Thank you Patrick. I am really enjoying the blacks as well. It is tax time here in the states so I will be busy for the next several months.
  20. Well, fellas...my first "bowl-shave" was this morning...but perhaps a little different than they are meant to be, in that I now have the Burma Shave cake in it. But with suds forming, I can now see what "bowl shaving" can be like. I did well, minus a couple cuts, one of which required some action to take care of. As the cake was dry when I began, I struggled a little loading it up onto the brush, but by the second pass I was in gear. Finished again with Aqua Velva Musk. The comment: More Excellent Than Yesterday.
