  1. Every week you pull out such cool, original software, Tom.
  2. Wicked looking blade, Keith! Very nice combination.
  3. So sorry to hear about your daughter, Patrick! Hope she feels better today.
  4. That mirrors my recent experience with the Reserve too, Keith- ‘took some time, but got done’.
  5. Beautiful lineup and photo Jason. I love the wood and brass on the brush
  6. Great to see you posting shaves again, Danny! A great combo today for sure.
  7. Gorgeous photo Perry. Be safe with all the rain. School started on time for us but a lot of the creeks and roads are right at flood stage. We've had over 7 inches of rain in the last week.
  8. Wonderful pic, Clint! Is that the Indian version of the cream?
  9. Thank you Jason. Yes this is the Indian version of Old Spice. @Tommynick picked some up at the Indian grocery and sent it my way. I checked on Sunday and our Indian grocery does not have old spice but does have Godrej shave cream.
  10. Glad to see you got results Paul! Bowl lathering isnt my forte either.

Must be a special day. You dug out the Gentleman, Jason. Awesome setup!

Very nice Perry! Try to stay dry, hope you don't get too much rain there .

Thanks Perry! Appetite is back now . She's on the mend!
  11. Sorry to hear about the weather, Perry. The pic looks awesome, though!
  12. Thanks Patrick......I think I have a better chance of getting used to it with more experience. It was actually a nice shave. Good to begin with. And now I have 2 Burma Shave mugs for coffee :). What happened to your daughter?
  13. awesome blue tip shave Jim..
  14. fine shaves and pics gentlemen..

And so it goes, as Kurt Vonnegut was wont to say! I admit it; I’m both baffled and beguiled by this surprising shaving tool. The blade sits flat against the baseplate, but also sits on the end bars which themselves sit slightly above the inner teeth of this surprisingly subtle OC design. Does this slight gap explain the extraordinary efficiency and smoothness of this razor? It’s now day six of of a bloodless, two pass, irritation-free BBS shave of both dome and face! I would welcome any insights based on my photography or your knowledge that those of you out there would be willing to share about this grail razor of mine!

Heritage Collections Ever Ready 200 clone - 2 band badger
    Feather AC DX (Kamisori style)
    Schick ProLine B30

Long working weekend, didn't have time to post/respond. Did read through as much as possible, still 350ish posts behind. Yesterday's shave and today's shave using the same PAA products, only the razor changed. Yesterday was the Drew Dick - Green Kirinite straight, 3 pass DFS+ result. No visit from Mr. Nick or that bad boy Uncle Cut.

Today's shave....3 pass DFS+ also. 1 ever so small corner of the mouth red spot. Other than this, everything worked as expected, thick rich lather from the ER 200 clone loaded with a 2 band badger. New blade loaded in the DX, enabled by a couple 30DCr's...the Schick ProLine B-30. I have the B-20 options for my Supply razors, just needed a nudge to assimilate. Really like the Schick ProLine blades (thanks @Linuxguile!), they are seriously sharp, but awesomely smooth, straight out of the gate. Second pass was a lot of fun, spent a few strokes 'riding the blade' on the flats of my cheeks and neck. For me, this technique would be described as having the overall angle with the blade holder almost flat against the skin, but the blade is also in contact with the skin just lightly enough to shave. Pressure is used to control the blade contact 'line'. Easy to control with the DX, as it isn't very wide (blade edge to spine). May have to commit a few days in a row to using this pairing.....pretty sure a 2 pass BBS is easily achievable. Aren't a few of y'all doing a shavette focus/rule soon? I'll join in.....

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!
