@esvh would that be a Pierre La Lune hone ‘only for good razors’?

@atbat82 that looks very much like a Torrey ‘Our 136’. Nice razor.

Today is shave #74 with the Filly 14 Sub Cero, soap was The always great Santa Mariah Novella lathered with a Keyhole 3 in a Stirling lather bowl, and AS was SMN lavanda. I’m BDBS and this edge isn’t close to giving up. I’ve been using it about every third shave since I’m testing other stones and razors, but I honed it back in June or July.

Thanks @Steve56 and @Chuck Naill - I think you both nailed it! That's exactly what my razor looks like!

What’s the stropping routine you’ve been using with the Filly? It’s certainly working! :eatdrink047:

Basically what Alfredo told me, 35 Kanoyama suede plus 65 Kanoyama leather after each shave. When the edge seems to drop a little, every 7-10 shaves, I add 20 Tony Miller flax linen. That’s it. There’s also a thread on SRP that describes close to what I settled on, that I saw after I was in the test, and that made me feel kind of good, that more than a couple of folks ended up with essentially the same stropping routine independently.

8/8 Filarmonica 14 Novodur, cream was AdP Colonia lathered with a Simpsons 57 and the balm was also AdP. Not a lot to complain about here, BDBS.

Very nice shave today. Out of the 4 recent Japanese razors I bought 3 were superb shavers, the forth was a little aggressive but I never stropped any of them. We'll work on the forth. I went to the gym today and never even had any irritation on my neck from sweating. That's a pretty decent shave, imo.
