Interesting shave report Neal. I think blade choice is extremely important when using this Mühle. I try to pick my smoothest blade; Personna 74, Wilkinson Light Brigade or even the old Polsilvers. I am unfamiliar with Sharp Star, so I have no comment. Maybe you should take Terry's advice and go "one and out" with the blade, especially with this razor.
Feb 12 Good morning guys! 1955 Gillette Redtip Rockwell DE Blade C-Mon Heritage Collection Brush Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS Nivea ASB C-Mon brush performed well with the Sandalwood shave soap to produce a very nice lather. I haven't used the Redtip in awhile because it is a mild razor to me, but it also did a fine job. Two passes without any mishaps gave me a nice IBSS++. Finished in my usual manner.
