Blade: vintage Private Club Platinum Chrome
Razor: Schick J1
Brush: JR #377 badger
Soap: Stirling British Leather
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling British Leather aftershave

Easy and effective shave with the J1 injector and Stirling lather. Smooth and comfortable all around. Not much else to report.

I added a few drops of TSD M Bomb and the menthol kick was superb.
OK, I'll get off of my Williams Soap Box now.
Got another outstanding shave from the Heljestrand.
Three passes and while the baby is still wandering around the house, I don't care.

Now for the pièce de résistance.
A lovely splash of the original Williams Aqua Velva.
It took some willpower to break the seal and use the first of this product,
but I thought...who am I saving this for? No one. ME!

Oh boy. Does this juice bring back memories.
My dad was an AV guy, until he discovered Aramis.
Time to take on the day.

Some might be content to shave with their grail razor for the rest of their days. What does one do if he’s just reached the US actuarial maximum of his mathematically allotted days of life eight days ago? I’ll tell you! He switches off to assess whether his last week of perfect shaves may be attributable to the use of his favorite soap, MWF over the last 12 days. In any case, I still have 358 actuarial days in this leap year remaining to enjoy my favorite pastime before I go to my actuarial reward! LaResche is acknowledged to have designed two superb superb safety razors - one open comb design (cf LaResche 51) and one safety bar design (cf LaResche 77). The 51 presents as my grail razor, after seven perfect irritation-free shaves. I will admit that I’ve only shaved with the 77 a few times, but they were also great shaves. Tomorrow I’ll begin a week of shaves with the LaResche 77 for comparative purposes. I will continue my focus on MWF.

Thanks, Joe! I’m at my actuarial life limit in the US. Should I stick with the grail razor? 358 days of actuarial life left! Your thoughts?

Nice Jeff! Quality tools and software help but the operator has to get somw of the credit. Nicely done. Looking forward to the update with the next razor.

Very pleased with my shave this morning. A couple years ago(wow, time flies)..someone here said he wasn't too satisfied with what he read about The Soap Exchange soaps. I won't mention his name, mainly because I forget who it was in the first place(chuk yuk yuk). But I've come to really like TSE. It's definitely worth 3 days back to back(to back)of shaves. I think the TSE soap(Lumberjack)will be the first of my rotation to go, but it will remain for a good while longer. The AgadirMen(Oud Wood)is a great aftershave compliment to the Lumberjack soap. Two healthy passes, no cuts/weepers. Clean&fresh face and neck. The comment: Very Excellent( I might have gone higher, but I feel I could have done better on the neck).

Thanks Joe. We took turns driving yesterday and had a nice dinner before we got home. We found everything at home in perfect order. Several of our neighbors and friends watched and checked on our house while we were away. This was a incredible blessing. We even managed to unload the car and do some unpacking last night. It usually takes us a couple of days to resettle after a trip. (We've been traveling so mWe have a few appointments and catch up items this week.

I complete a really nice two-pass shave last night with my Weber DE loaded with Voskhod blade, my 2019 30 DC LE brush (I love it - perfect for travel), and Stirling BoS. It was a superb way to end the day before a good night's rest. I'll perform some light touch-ups this morning before we head out to see our Doc.

It's good to be home, and we both feel amazingly rested this morning. The coffee is plentiful and continues to flow.

1955 Gillette Redtip
Rockwell DE Blade
C-Mon Heritage Collection Brush
Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS
Nivea ASB
C-Mon brush performed well with the Sandalwood shave soap to produce a very nice lather. I haven't used the Redtip in awhile because it is a mild razor to me, but it also did a fine job. Two passes without any mishaps gave me a nice IBSS++. Finished in my usual manner.

Another with my trying to master the Rex Ambassador. The Alpha 400 whipped up the Eleven DFS into a rich slick lather. Three passes with touch ups and buffing just missed the little guy. Moving to fast I did manage to nick myself just below my nose. The Rex is a pretty heavy razor and I just set it down way to hard. Otherwise a pretty decent shave this morning. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
