Here's something interesting I've just figured out. My Soap Exchange puck is $14.99 for 4 oz....that would be $29.98 for 1/2 lb. This is actually more expensive than the 1/2 lb. Bill Neumann offerings by about $2.00. The difference is that Soap Exchange you get tallow, whereas the 4 oz. Neumann looks like Williams or Burma Shave. I much prefer the tallow setup. But price-wise, I'm right in Bill Neumann's ballpark with the TSE.
the bill neumann is nothing like williams or burmashave..not even in the same league..they are doorstops in comparison..
I had a surgery to remove a .....pardon me.....Trigger finger. Now my other hand is acting up...haven't yet decided as to going through that again,
Oh, I'm sure you're right with how it feels and smells when applied onto face and neck....I was just saying they LOOK similar.
Thanks guys. Jim finished it up today, and it turned out beautifully. 73 mm Brazilian Rosewood handle with Celtic Knot inlay and Cross medallion in base 27 mm Silvertip Badger knot set at 52 mm
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough....the surgery just fixed the finger so that it wouldn't "snap" anymore when bending it. . As I say, now the right trigger finger is giving me trouble, although it isn't as bad as the left one was.
Thanks Joe. The only thing I like better than Jim's craftsmanship is getting to know him as a brother in Christ. He's 100% authentic. He located and used the Cross medallion on another brush that he made for one of my friends. I asked him to use another one for this brush too. I've been tempted to have a similar brush made for myself, but then it wouldn't be as special. Even after seeing the photos, I have no idea how he does the Celtic Knot inlay. Thanks Gary! Jim outdid himself on this one, for sure!
