February Favorites February 12 Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (9) Blade - (2) Soap - Soap Commander Courage Brush - @Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum First of all, I need to speak to the Canadians. Whichever one of you left the door open up there, would you please go close it? Your air has found its way into the Lou. Currently 9 degrees. Oh, sorry. I mean -13 for you guys up there. Supposed to drop a little more tonight so yeah, we're feeling the love from the north. I considered changing gear today, particularly for a pain stick just to take a break from DE technique. Given my last two rough outings I thought that might help, and @Linuxguile had made the suggestion. I finally decided to stick it out. I'm just getting back up on the horse. Stayed with the Slim and Voskhod. It's Soap Commander night so I chose the JR46 to make the lather and had no issues with that. When I began the shave I just focused on two things. Angle and pressure. Specifically, ride the cap and don't put any pressure on the razor. I'm happy to say that seemed to do the trick. Great three pass shave. Smooth, no blood, no major irritation and the alum was nearly silent. I took a bit of extra time and just relaxed as I shaved which I can say I was not doing the past two nights. Pretty sure I rushed and just didn't take my time to get into the zen. A great shave to break out of two less than great ones so all's right in my world again. I think I'll still break out of DE into pain sticks in another shave or two, but now it's just to have a break and have some fun. Hope your week has been a good one to this point. One more day to the weekend!

FRIDAY'S SHAVE Perfumed by: Jean-Louis Sieuzac & Michel Almairac Razor - West Coast Shaving Midnight Collection 84B Blade - *4th Shave Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave Lather Bowl by Royal Shave Shave Brush - RichMan Shaving "Lava Flow Red" Preshave Soap - PAA Cube with Dock Shaving Soap - The Shaving Shop "The Deal Maker" *Discontinued Aftershave - Dior Fahrenheit Deodorant - Dior Fahrenheit Fragrance - Dior Fahrenheit ***EDIT - 2 pass + clean up. I've found that I get 3 perfect shaves out of the Treet blades with this razor then the 4th one tugs a bit and is less comfortable. The first 3 shaves are perfect though so I've confirmed there is a really early limit on the number of shaves I get with this combo. There is a chance I might try another blade, but I really like the black color with the black razor. It's a cool combo and it's not like I shave with this a lot in the rotation, so I likely will keep this combo.
