Marer and Grosh made very high quality razors in the day .I own the same model in 5/8 which is a stellar straight.The hard part is finding them .An 8/8 model is the Holy Grail .Have a great week Tom .

I forgot to post this one, a while back. It has been under restoration, on and off. It has a tiny crack that was later massaged out.

The address is rue taitbout 2, Paris. I looked it up on google maps it is quite central in Paris.

This should be on the way soon, I copped a cat to keep my existing one company. Seems to be the same except my current one does not have ‘No 707’ on the tang.

It’s hard to come in 2nd place... but I bow to the winner.

A beastly acquisition, Steve! Love the double jimps on that fellow as well as the shape of the scales. There are so many razors I didn’t know I needed, and here you are copping pairs.

I ‘lost’ a beauty to gentleman here not long ago, but as long as a TSD member gets it, it isn’t ‘lost’, I still get to enjoy it.

This is not a new acquisition, but @Karl G and I were talking about a Ragg razor of unusual shape, a ‘white whale’ razor, and this one is similarly shaped. It’s a Wosty IXL, and I’ve never seen another quite like it. I’ve seen smaller ones with a similar shape and have a 5/8 that’s somewhat similar, but it isn’t the same razor. This is a big razor, FBU size, and it’s a pain to strop!

Just arrived, from Argentina.

Bought my first shavette today for $7 including the shipping. It is Sedef and I bought it because it can use AC, injector blades or half DE blades. This should be a good learning tool to start out on.

It is supposed to be a black handle version. I'd post a picture but I am waiting on it to arrive. Might take up to a month since it coming from Turkey through China via free shipping.

I haven't bought any straight razors in a while but I couldn't pass this J.A. Henckels #16 at an antique store today. And it was an additional 20% off the tag price. I think I did pretty good.
