February Favorites February 15 Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (9) Blade - (3) Soap - Stirling Barbershop Brush - @Jayaruh #312 Post - Alum Friday was one long day. By the time I got home after helping feed the lovers of STL all day and evening I just pretty much collapsed and called it a day. That set me up for a shorter day today and plenty of energy to take care of a two day growth with my shave. Third round with the Slim and Voskhod. I chose the Stirling Barbershop and the JR312 with the synthetic horse knot. It's not quite as scritchy as I like my horses but it definitely gives you the same basic feel and handling of the real thing. Gotta love it! Three full passes and all were smooth. No issues at all and the alum was silent. Excellent way to end a day, especially with the extra day on the shave. I'm ready to finish the weekend now! Hope yours is going great!!
February 15th SOTN A second Pal Adjustable / Chick blade / Cyril Salter Sandalwood in a row. Angle is pretty easy to find and these blades result in a pretty smooth shave. I'm glad I pulled this classic out for a couple runs. It's a shame the hinge is broken on my case, but oh well . Happy shaves all. Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
It was a great shave today Gary. Thank you my friend. It has been awhile since I used the Grackle and it is a underrated razor. I always enjoy using it. I also dig Grove. The scent is fantastic and the strength is still going strong. I think the older PAA aftershaves used to be stronger then today. The new ones don't seem to last as long as they used to. Maybe it is just me. Steve
