    Cold Water Rinse

    Oscar11 synthetic
    1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher
    Vintage GEM Cutlery

    PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm

The Vintage Life's Morning TOST Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Oscar11 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher with a Vintage GEM Cutlery SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  7. Sunday shave,Feb 16th 2020- I like to use my Pal Injecto-matic every once in a while, two many injectors and not enough days. The Pal company spent well over 1 million dollars to develop this razor in the 1950's and they did a nice job for a injector IMO.

  8. Schick J4v2, Schick Proline B-20, shave 6
    J4v2a.jpg J4v2b.jpg J4v2c.jpg

If we go by Appleby's designations this razor is the second of 3 J4 variants. This particular one was only produced for a few months in 1958 and is characterized by the fact Eversharp dropped the hydro-magic branding from the razor stamp and labeled it an Eversharp Schick.

The shave is mid level not overly aggressive but efficient. This razor shaves the same as the Type I and J hydro-magics with the short hydro-magic lever as seen in the picture made between 1954 - 1958. The later J4 '500' razors with the longer hydro-magic levers made from around Sept. of 1958 through 1959 before they switched the branding on these to the Golden '500' are the beard buster more aggressive versions.

  13. That's a beautiful razor. I hope to find one like that with the black handle some day.

  14. Fantastic picture. That Enders looks spectacular, especially with the light showing off the translucency of the handle.

  15. The black handle ones are made in England and some fellows like them better because they are a little more aggressive. You might have to go to Ebay England to find it. I bought my E.R. Streamline from Ebay England or UK as some prefer to say.

  16. Figures I always seem to like the harder to find items. The white and gold actually looks quite stunning on yours. But they probably aren't exactly falling from the trees like ripe pears either. I definitely like the longer handles either way.

    Vitos Super Red
    Schick " O " Clone
    Schick Twin -Japan [ 7 ]
    Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion

I missed the Shave yesterday which I had intended to have after lunch, but got tied up with other things. Decided that two days growth might well suit The "O" Clone fitted with a twin blade. With no need to rush and superb Vitos lather, the Shave was smooth and trouble free, with nearly a face stroking finish.

  18. I went through a Phase of collecting them , but have thinned down the collection [ see photo ]. I like shaving with the Black one and the de luxe ones with the Schick like handle.

  19. Thank you. Yeah, I get to see the cool translucency all the time, but to capture it on a decent photograph is a different thing. I was happy it turned out like it did.
