My MWF focus this month continues with one of my less well-behaved razor’s, my MMOC. This razor never fails to deliver an excellent close shave, but also requires attention to its use. If that attention wanders Madame Micromatic will bite!

In this case, I chose to forgo my usual PAA Preshave Cube prep and simply stuck to my cold water rinse before lathering up for my first WTG pass! I used careful short strokes and avoided long sweeping ones, as those never failed to incite a bite in the past. The Pella PTFE Gem Blade swept through the whiskers like Sherman through Georgia! The result was a bloodless first pass that totally cleaned up the dome and left very slight roughness around the Adam’s Apple, which has proven problematic with this razor in the past.

I relathered that area as well as the back of my head and did some ATG buffing. When I finished there was no heat at my throat and minimal stinging at the back of my head, but again, no blood! BBS with minor heat. So onward and upward!

I just received back my repaired Rex Ambassador! The last time I used that razor, it wreaked havoc. I was unable to shave the dome for almost three days! So that’s on the docket For tomorrow. Today I feel clean, smooth and refreshed!

    RAZOR: Gem MMOC
    BLADE: Pella PTFE Gem
    PREP: Cold water rinse
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and PAA Mentholated Mysterium Serum
  7. Looking good Amigo.
  8. Excellent shave and recap Jeff. Good luck with the Rex tomorrow.
  9. Thanks Clint! thumbsup.gif

  10. I'm not sure they make memory cards with that kind of volume.

  11. When you do the Rule Training, Gillette Silver Blue is nice.

PM me an address, I'll mail you a tuck if they are not in inventory.

  13. Razor: Karve Christopher Bradley SS OC w/ "C" Plate
    Blade: Personna Platinum (6)
Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White Knot
    Soap: Grooming Dept Ingress
    Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso
    Bowl: @twhite 3D Printer Bowl

Some how I have gotten into a rule this month with the same brush, soap, and Karve razors. Fine by me.
Another great shave with this gear. As I said before I'm really liking this soap. I believe they use duck fat, and it is the first soap I have that uses that fat. The soap lathers very easy, and it is slick, with lots of cushion. (thanks @ram57) Weather has been nuts here. Lots of snow and cold, very cold. I will sure be happy to see Spring arrive. I'm also hoping to play a few rounds of golf this Summer. I will have to see how that goes. :)
    Have a good day.

  14. Fine shave this morning with the same team as yesterday(Stoylin Ramblin Man soap&AS), but for the brush(Crown King Spindle Duro Tali). Pass 1 was a great success, but I stumbled some in Pass 2, with a couple weepers. Loading was a little better than yesterday-you want to make that brush look like an ice-cream cone and I ALMOST did. I came away feeling good. Overall: A Little More Excellent Than Yesterday.
  15. Second shave this morning with the Imperial soap. Yesterday was a no shave. The ATT with the R2 plate took care of business. Three passes with no nicks or weepers. I am really liking this soap and I honestly believe it can hang with any soap in the den. My wife and I have a small day trip planned today. First time in a while we have been out by ourselves. Y'all take care and have a great Sunday! 20200216_085028.jpg
  16. Back to back Epics! Awesome, Keith.
  17. Awesome shave, pic and post, Jeff! Have a great Sunday!
  18. Wonderful shave in your winter wonderland, Doug!
