  6. The stranger the danger, the more the joy!

Well, a partner in crime on odd and crazy razors.
Always nice to know I'm not the only nutty shaver here.
Like to see you collection of oddballs.
Might start a thread on that.

  7. Most of mine are home made " razors " ive built for MAYhem. They are somewhere here in a box or at least some of them are Terry. I'll have to look .
  8. I'm very behind on this conversation... :) I am planning to make more handles and I'll be giving away practice pieces that turn out well.

I am flattered by the response. The goal is to produce nicer and nicer brushes. I'm researching making a radius cutter so I can fancy these things up a bit.
  9. Monday: Our first real snow of the year, fortunately the roads were clear and commuting only took an extra 5 minutes. Today is a double redemption test: I have a Hoffritz slant that lives in shiny box with shiny blade holders. I have not had great success with slants but I have not used one in years. Second is I dug deep in the soap bin and pulled out a DR Harris hard soap to give it a second chance. I enjoy the DR Harris creams but this soap must have disappointed to be in the to test later drawer.

To give the soap it's best chance I went at it with an Omega Pro boar and worked it over. The lather looked good and was acceptable but given it is tallow soap I was expecting more slickness. The slant was loaded with my favorite blade, Iridium Super and it performed better than I recall. I rode the cap and I got close shave with no irritation. The razor will definitely get some more shots to see if it gets sold or stays int he den.... it does look very cool in it's shiny box.

  13. Beautiful razor, Keith! Sounds like the shave went well!
  14. Razor looks like a beast Keith. Awesome report!
  15. I love it! Nice shave!
  16. I don't think so, Terry. I've seen all the 007 movies right here in Kentucky. Besides, we have towns here named London, Cambridge, Manchester, and Ghent. BTW, you'd think the big countries could come up with their own names for towns.
    Well....
    :happy097:
  17. Awesome redemptive shave, Keith!
I believe Hoffritz also made good quality straight razors.
  18. Fantastic razor and shave, Keith. If you decide to let that one go, I'm interested. I've got a few extra S&H Green Stamps hiding in a cigar box around here somewhere. :)

The snows in S. Korea look pretty much like they do here. That's plenty in my book. I hope that's all you get.
  19. Thank you, Patrick!
