    I am moving a little slow this morning. I just did not want to get out of the rack and take Mocha for her walk in the rain. In the end, the dog won. Inspired by @jluc , I dialed the Rex back to 3 this morning for the first 2 passes. The sweet spot is a narrower but the risk of a nick is much less. For the third pass, touch ups and buffing, I dialed it back to 1. This was one of my smoothest shaves with the Rex to date. Just a wonderful drama free BBS. A splash of CC Bay Rum and I am off to my office for more tax return work. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

    Prep: Cold water and PAA Cube pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: Sapele badger
    Soap: Oleo New City
    Post: Witch hazel, Oleo New City aftershave

    Great shave with the Featherweight. Comfortable and no weepers or distracting issues. Just an easy shave. New City is a wonderful scent and that added to the overall enjoyment.

    Great shave with your repaired razor, Danny! I had a similar experience with my repaired Rex. The antique malls here in PA generally have a wealth of razors.

    Nice shave Jim! The bathroom is a coveted place . We have 3 in this house but the one I use to shave is the most popular for some reason.
    So glad you got the Rex sorted out Jeff!
