Time for a shave and it was a fun night. I came home to find a package by the door. I was expecting the brush from the raffle I won, donated by @Joewa , so I wasn't surprised it was there. I was surprised, however, with what I found inside. Let's see, I won a brush, right? Well here's what I found.

The brush was definitely in there (it was inside the tea box - nice decoy job and protection) but also included was a tub of Nirvana soap and a tuck of vintage Wizamet Polsilver blades. Only one of the finest blades to ever come out of Russia. Thanks so much for the generosity Joe! And for helping out with the raffle as well. The brush is a beauty with the mesquite handle. The knot is a star as well. I think you all know how I feel about it, given I also have the I*V10.

I believe, if I just counted right in my head, that this brings my custom brush count to 12. I know I have more custom made brushes than normal ones and I'm definitely ok with that. I'll have to get them all lined up in a row in the next couple of days and take a picture.

Well, there's no way I wasn't gonna use the new brush tonight for my shave. I did a head shave first, using the usual head shave gear, but soaked the new brush while that went on to give it some extra time. I thought about trying the Nirvana but wanted to stay on schedule with the Soap Commander. I used it for my head shave as well, so the new brush had an easy time with the lather since it was already there. It did help eat up some of the Soap Commander though. Great lather and the Super Speed and Rapira PL did a fine job of getting me to DFS on two passes. I stopped then since I'll be shaving earlier tomorrow than normal. Decided not to try too hard and I'm happy with that.

Hope you all had a great day! Friday beckons, and then the weekend!! You have a great Friday tomorrow!!!
