Wonderful shaves and a great post, Charlie! Glad you improved your DE shaves. Stretching the skin is definitely important regardless of the razor. You will find that your shavette shaving will be much better than what you have experienced in the past!

    Thanks, Jason!
Great report and pictures, Charlie! I look forward to following along with your shavette focus. I have a focus planned for March myself but I'll sneak in a few shavette shaves to show some 30DC solidarity.

@jtspartan & @brit --Out of curiosity, what about the Gillette adjustables aren't doing it for you? If things don't turn out better next week, I'm thinking about ditching my Variant for a different adjustable--Fatboys and Slims were among several of the candidates. Thoughts?

There’s probably not much difference! I’m not a Nacet fan. YMMV. But a Feather really cleaned things up for me!

Thanks, Jason! I, sadly, have come to that conclusion as well. Lots of AS' out there that play nice with me :D

For me, Tim, it is quite simply a matter of me not reaching for it (‘69 SA-109) enough, and not finding it memorable enough when I do. I do have two other Gillette TTOs to use (Red Tip, Crat Jr.) when I feel like it, fwiw. It is a birth year shaver, but that isn’t mattering much to me lately, for whatever reason. ‘One in, one out’ is a rule I’m trying to stick to.

Awesome pics. Awesome gear. Awesome shaves. Awesome report. Looking forward to the upcoming challenge months. Bill (@Edison Carter) has offered to loan me one of his noob friendly shavettes. Training wheels, as it were, to prepare me for the widow-making Utopia Care shavette that I purchased last year. One more week...

Thank you, Andrew! I think I might agree with you in the finish. I wonder if that was done to keep it from looking more like a copy of the razor it is modeled after.
