    Interesting that the Variant is not performing for you. It was the razor I used for my 30 day rule. And, I think mantic58 proclaimed to be the razor you'd have to pry from his cold dead hand.

    Coming up, I'm going to get reacquainted with mine in training for my turn at the TAR (a custom made DE adjustable by member Tom White).

    Either way, if your experience is similar to mine and others, all your shaves will improve as you cross-apply what you have learned in open edge shaving.

    thank you Jeff,fortunately i had no sentimental attachment to the adjustables,although they were really clean sets and the slim was my birthyear/quarter.now i have a few extra $$ to find something i really want..;)..again they are fine razors ,just not go to razors for me..
