Thanks Tim. The Parker SRX is far from fancy, but it's a good, solid tool that works great. I think you can pick one up for $25 on Amazon. Highly recommend.

I take it a tad too much blade exposure? Or perhaps some other geometric difference not expected. Had you shaved with it before?

Sunday 23rd February Kent 'Infinity' - Natural Ireland Seaweed Shaving Soap - GEM Contour/SS Blade - Lacura L'Eau EDT My planned shave disappeared as I was just too busy. Evening shaves may become the norm. The recent storms caused a landslide on my route to work. It is expected to take at least a year to repair. my commute to work has almost doubled.....so no more time to pamper myself in the morning The Contour is quite mild but 3 passes still gave a great shave.
That looks like a 3-piece Old-Type head. I think I have that same head on my ancient Gillette ABC razor. The restoration cost me a huge chunk of money. The shave is just as you described. It's my most finicky, fickle, difficult shave in my entire den. More times than not it either irritates my skin or rips me up. But I love it. haha That's the post-restoration pic that Razor Emporium took. That's my baby. The first blade I tried in it was a Feather. I nearly paid with my life for that blade selection. Ok, maybe not 'that' bad, but definitely a rough shave with that combo for sure.
I am not saying this was the issue, but these Old Types don't automatically hold the blade with even and equal blade exposure. Make sure you adjust it accordingly before tightening it down.
Man that blows. Where do you live? Good way to end the day though! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
