I worked for many years in a place where we took fires pretty seriously. There's nothing like a fire brigade response to a building where someone burned toast in the break room. I suppose they counted those runs as practice.

Heckuva way to take a break from work(or whatever was happening in the bldg.)

Microwave popcorn left on to long, unattended.
Have a cook out, on top of a 8 story office building.
Welding inside the building because it's to cold outside.
Fidget with fire alarm pulls because they have nothing else to do.

A small list of things that will bring the fire department to the building.

Oh the stories.....

With 16 microwave sites and 4 branch offices.....

That's not the end of the story.
After setting the fire alarm off 3 times the day before. Every one knew what happened, in comes the Electricians. They needed to get into the ceiling, simple enough, just remove a ceiling tile. We were there and said wait till we notify.....
They pulled the tile, the dust, yes set off the fire alarm.
Yesterday was sunny and warm, today, cold, rainy and windy.
So everyone is out in the cold, we were the last ones out. The crowd was staring at us, ominously.
So my co worker raised his arms about half and loudly said...
"This time it wasn't me!!"
Everyone busted out laughing.
Yea
You can't make this stuff up.

The other stories, I should wait till people retire or die.
Not that it is illegal, but way to embarrassing.
