To get ahold of a few of my recent Scriptos, I had to buy a shabby lot of about 10 old advertising mechanical and bullet pencils. The quality that went into pretty much all of them is impressive, considering there's nothing made like them today that doesn't cost at least $15 and up...and modern advertising giveaways aren't nearly the quality, needless to say. I won't bore anybody with pictures but, like orphaned razors, they're fun to tinker with, to clean up, to polish, and fit with new erasers. Why? For the same reason they were made...to go up to somebody and say, "Here, have a pencil."
The one on the bottom is a very old Scripto, it doesn't work anymore. The two smaller Westinghouse are also.
