1. Real simple...

    I'm Chris. Aka Bama Samurai

I'm the chief NCO of Charlie Company.

This thread works like this. On your initial post, type the words "I'm in" and post your best tool watch. I have two that are tied. But for the purposes of this thread, I select my Hamilton Field watch. As men and women of honor, when we wear these watches... There is work to be done.

The command officer of Charlie Company is....

    Charlie
    @wristwatchb

24 hours before our unit is activated, Capt Charlie will post here to show them on our wrists. He will then issue an hour time mark per cell phone. When you receive the message, post a pic of your time synced tool watch.

Then all we do is listen to Charlie and stay loyal to our friends. Take the watch off when Charlie says the mission is completed.

    We're looking for the best.

    No chatter.

    Go hard.

As men and women of honor...

A tool watch is a watch simply used to tell time. The classic definition are watches used by people like railroad engineers, navigators, pilots, soldiers, et al.

  6. My last "tool watch" died years ago. Still have it, but I currently only wear my Pebble (because it tells me my blood sugar).

  8. I have three that fall into that category:

This MKII is probably my favorite:

The Omega is great for when I travel across time zones especially if I will doing any swimming, love the GMT function:

This one is cool, a cyclops for the date and it glows all night because of the tritium tubes. Yeah its because of radioactive decay... The history for this brand is cool too.

  10. Yes sir, I’m in sir!

  11. I'm not an officer in Charlie Company. You're a lieutenant...I'd be a like a first sergeant of the enlisted ranks.

    So.

"Thank you, Sir" Is how I'd reply, with a salute at attention.

You'd say: Well done sergeant, at ease or as you were.

Thanks for joining in. You just added a ton to the knowledge base

  14. Nice James Bond band.
  15. I don’t think they get the game Top!

I have gobs of watches. A fatal disease. The one I wear most is my Ball Fireman Glory. It’s tough, very lightweight and easy to read.

I probably don’t view the forum enough to be “in,” to be any worthwhile, but if you were the First Sergeant, we could casually call you “Top”, much like Gunny in the Marines, or Chief in the Navy.

Sir is for brass, including butter bars through stars. The NCOs work for a living. Apparently Top is training future brass.
