A daringly Gentlemanly shave! I would sneak the occasional SG shave early in the morning when the Missus was still asleep, and would frequently forego the hug goodbye--the early arrival of a soon-to-be-displeased significant other is a crisis of the highest magnitude and order. Quick thinking (and poetry) saves the day again!

I'm hardly an expert, but Wilfred Owen's poetry resonated with me in my early years in college. Makes you wonder how his work would have evolved over the years had his life not been tragically cut short by the first world war--they were brave men living in a crazy time.
