Wonderful 2 pass shave, Terry! That slant is beautiful, and I've already commented on how I feel when you bust out the Orange Chill. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

Ok guys! I thought that I would change my avatar with a much younger picture of me. I believe I was 55-56 in that pic. Yes, I had a trimmed beard and wasn't a wetshaver at the time. I was at the grill barbecuing at a friend's 4th of July party. I always volunteered to do the grilling for this annual celebration.

    Good morning

Fantastic shave to start the day and end the month! Three passes for near BBS. Totally silent alum.

My randomizer plan for soaps and brushes didn't last long. My gear has to at least kinda match. Other than a short detour with the Lupo SS I did stick with my plan to use razors that were stored with a blade. I didn't make it through all of them though. It may take close to another month to finish them off.

I'm going to start March with my Dart. I'll stick with it until I figure out what I'm doing wrong or come to the conclusion that I damaged it in some way when I dropped it.

I'll use only Barrister and Mann soaps and Astra SP's because that's what I used for my first rule upon joining the 30DC.

I'm looking forward to another month of fun and camaraderie with all my friends on the Crew!

    Have a great day! [IMG]

    Thanks, Clint!
CC Bay Rum has a great scent. I got a terrific lather with it this morning. I overloaded the brush and kept painting water in until it was on the verge of running down my chest. Wonderful!

    RR Lupo
    Feather
    Antica Barberia/Mondial Boar
    B&M Bay Rum
    Dominica Grand Bay Rum Aftershave

I was inspired in the shave twice by @Primotenore . I went with his choice of B&M Bay Rum and the Mondial boar brush. Based on our earlier back and forth this morning I pulled out the boar and went to work taking out the black hairs. Over a white towel, I discovered 5 or 6 black hairs and removed them. Wow, what a difference in the brush. The last of the scratchiness is gone and I can enjoy breaking the brush in. I went with the RR Lupo paired with a Feather and altered my pass pattern. I went ATG, XTG and ATG followed by a little buffing on the neck. Now this was a close shave. I now know what bugs me about the Lupo. I absolutely love the shaves but hate the DLC finish. It requires more work to keep clean than any razor I have ever used. I have decided to put it away and think on it before listing the razor for sale. I have found that often times, I sell things and regret my decision. A splash of Dominica Grand Bay Rum Aftershave and I am ready for the day. I will run errands with my wife while my car is in the shop getting new shoes. I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

    February 2020 Recap

I have really enjoyed participating in the 30DC thread this month. I was getting less than stellar shaves with the Rex Ambassador and decided to spent 21 days dialing the razor in. The effort really paid dividends with the RA becoming a razor I really enjoy using. I managed to knockout the A&E Frozen Mojitos soap during the month. I was also given a brush by Evan, @MrEE , that will be a cherished part of my brush collection. I look forward to using it for years to come. As always the best part of the month was following with the progress and shenanigans of the crew. I look forward to participating next month with you guys.

I think the soap is a better than the cream. I have overloaded the cream with no improvement at all.
