SUNDAY'S SHAVE Razor - Gillette Red Tip Superspeed circa 1955-1960 (Re-plated in Satin-Nickel Finish and re-painted tip in Radiant Red color by Razor Emporium.) Blade - *Fresh Blade Shave Brush - Ever-Ready 1960's vintage (Polished and re-knotted with a synthetic 26mm Ubersoft II knot from Envyshave by Razor Emporium.) Shave Stand by by Desire Metal Works Suds - Procter & Gamble Old Spice "Original" Cream (Made in India) *I dried it out for months into a hard soap. Aftershave - Procter & Gamble Old Spice "Classic" Deodorant - Procter & Gamble Old Spice "Classic" Fragrance - Procter & Gamble Old Spice "Classic" ***EDIT - Late morning shave - 1 pass + extensive targeted clean up. No weepers or any immediate redness, but definitely felt some irritation. It's the Red Tip, so it's aggressive and it's a fresh blade. These things happen when your shaving tools are do what they're supposed to. I went to my PAA Alum block which stung and quickly revealed the red irritation that was coming. Then applied my aftershave. No balm. I've found that when I have a bit of razor irritation that dry skin, or even powder can relieve redness in a few hours. I will apply the balm tonight after washing my face to promote the proper portion of healing the surface. The only worry is that I have to wake up early tomorrow and I want to shave, but this irritation might not be fully stabilized and could cause more discomfort tomorrow. That doesn't always happen, but I find the odds are increased that I could get a bad back-to-back shave. ***EDIT 2 - After a few hours the redness has gone away and boy, this is BBS. This is about as close a shave can get without ravaging the skin. I still feel a smidge of irritation, but it's largely settled now. I credit the Red Tip and BiC Blade combo for riding the edge. Turned out to be a really good shave.

Just brilliant. I’m curios as to how the Rex Ambassador performs and I do like the look of the Captains Choice copper bowl. A lot Nice collection here.
