  6. and to you sir..:)
  7. Also @Trigger

The time spent on these topics are worth it. Collecting razors or soap or whatever is a valid hobby. It's not morally reprehensible in any way. I collect weird silver coins, tattoos and it seems watches.

The best part of this thread is that it's a bit of everything. The idea here is to welcome new converts into our world with mature skill and practice. It's a great primer course for future razor collectors. I wouldn't even consider collecting gear without having mastered the fundamentals of the shave. The fact we see people having the time of their life with Barbasol or $900 straights is really just a blessing.

Razor collecting isn't for me. I like other stuff more. I do really appreciate the gear people post here though. To me they are showing the newbies that some really cool guys have some real fun and maybe even rare tools.

  9. Thank you, but my rules are things I learned from others plus some lessons acquired in blood. We have many jedi knights within the TSD ranks.
  10. Good luck!
Wish I had the time to devote to it!

  11. Bill, I wasn't expecting a long discourse. I didn't mean to ruffle feathers. Lol!
  12. I hear ya! I am being misunderstood with my statement. Whatever any one wants to spend money on is their business. As for me, I want to use up my supplies before I leave this planet. The only thing I want to leave behind are my brushes and straights. and my safeties.

    Good morning

Great shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Warmer than usual alum along my jawline and Adam's apple. Not where I want to be with the Dart. Give it another go tomorrow.

    Have a great day! [IMG]
  14. Triple Dare to shave off the goatee and use a shavette on your chin this month. You know, for solidarity, and such.

  16. Great shave Jim! I am at a loss as to why the sudden diffculty with the Dart. I find it strange to have a razor dialed in and then lose it.
  17. Well, that seals it for me. I'm buying 2500 more blades this year. And maybe six watches. :D

  18. If you ever start shaving that goatee, you'll probably need to stockpile more stuff. Just thought I should point that out.
  19. Good morning all and hope that your day goes well!
Got in a habit I can't seem to get out of.

I get such a good shave from this combo.
Found two bumps or the razor foung them.
One just below the chin, one on the back of the head.
They came up fast so they will probably go away just as quickly.

    I don't have any rum, or Coca-Cola.
    But it is Monday......

    All
    Enjoy!
