Beautiful gear, Jason! Evan's beauty shop does some fantastic work Congrats on killing the soap, and sorry about the bad blade. It's cool that you're dialed in enough to realize it rather than plod on through thinking the issue is you (that's how I handle things )
But it creates some interesting discussions. I would be too. Looks good in pics but to hold it would be another thing. Great shave Jim! Is it the scent or performance? Good that you are using it and keeping her happy. Happy wife= Happy life.
Fantastic photo, set up, and shave, Andrew! Iced Pineapple is the one always gets away from me. When I'm ready to finally replace a soap IP is inevitably out of season. I may just break down this spring and get a sample even if I have three soaps still in rotation--I just won't open till Christmas
Great reports Danny! A Kronos focus would be good! Nice rare one Gary! Awesome pic also. Nice setup Mark! What scent would describe the hipster? Congrats on the soap. I dont know what would frustrate me more , the shedder or the shredder (blade). Probably the knot because we all get a dud blade now and again. Hope the next one goes better Jason!
March 2 Shavette shave #2 Gear Razor: Utopia Care Shavette Blade: Personna Blue (1) Brush: Stirling Kong Soap: Soap Commander “Drive” AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue Balm: Stirling Glacial Unscented The shave went about the same as yesterday, maybe a little bit worse in some respects, and perhaps a little better in others. Results are about the same--DFS/CCS--and I did it in two + passes instead of three. It took less time too, but I’ve got a bunch of red marks on my neck where I’m fairly sure I caught the toe or heel of the blade but didn’t draw blood (thank you “Pressure Drop”). There is slightly more irritation today than yesterday. The neck is still tricky, even just dealing with north/south and south/north passes only, and the south pole on my chin may always be “that one spot” no matter what I shave with. Also, a couple nicks, one of which needed the styptic to settle down. All in all... could have been worse Tomorrow I’m keeping it simple: 2 passes only, and maybe some touching up on the chin. If I'm feeling dangerously confident, I might even try using my left hand (but not the neck--don't know if I'll ever be that dangerously confident). We’ll see what that brings me. Two down... 98 to go! May your Monday bring you all the very best of everything
The performance is not that good at all. A happy wife is a very good thing in my world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
