Good Tuesday morning. I am sorry I haven't responded to your kind replys, Monday's are busy. Took out a razor in the box I bought a couple weeks ago. This morning a Super Speed paired with a new Feather blade. 5, yes, five passes and some clean up, I'm just about where I like to be. No issues, that's a surprise. Well..... it's mild as milk toast. It's a good razor for someone just starting out. Pinaid shave and finish. Gonna try to get through the rest this month. I don't like giving anyone a razor that I'm not 100% sure it's a good tool. Everyone Enjoy! tp
March 3rd Razor: Blackland Dart Blade: Astra SP (3) Brush: Heritage Collection C-MON Pre-shave: PAA The Cube Soap: B&M Reserve Fern PAA Galactic witch hazel PAA unscented Star Jelly AS: B&M Reserve Fern Good morning Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum. I examined the Dart under a lit magnifying glass last night. There's nothing wrong with it, it's me. I keep doing the same thing over again expecting different results. Time to make a change. My muscle memory really has me maintaining a shallow angle. The Dart takes a steep angle. Smoothed it right out. Funny thing, I kept subconsciously swallowing the angle. It used to be the other way around, I would catch myself dropping the handle creating too steep an angle with all my razors. That explains why my earlier shaves with the Dart were so smooth, I wasn't maintaining a shallow angle. I have to unlearn what I've learned when using the Dart. I feel better now knowing the razor isn't damaged. Have a great day!
Great-looking shaves, everyone. I am working the 5:30am shift this week, so the Cartel is going to have to wait.
