    Shavettes

    Razor: Feather DX
    Blade: Feather Super Professional (1)
    Brush: MrEE #1
SS & AS: Stirling Deep Blue Sea

I have used my shavette 4 times this week. Doing pretty well with it even though I do have more irritation than usual. I still use too much pressure with my edge forward razors. It's fine once a week but the irritation adds everyday. Todays shave was not very close at all. Purposely backing off to approach this from the other end of the spectrum.

The photo shows the last 3 brushes I have used. I have lots of really nice brushes now but I get a kick out of using mine.

I've promised brush handles to a few people. Right now I have a bench full of razors to plate. So brushes may take a little while. Plus I still want to fancy them up a bit.
  3. fine shave and pic Jim..
  4. Gorgeous image, Jim! Love the angle you used! The Dart is supposed to be an excellent razor! Glad it’s working well for you! I’ve sort of reached the point where I’m quite happy with the razors I have. I just sold one of my two Karves, and the H&S No75. I’m keeping my one Karve. I have two new razors ordered back in December that should be arriving by the end of the month and if they don’t make the grade, they’re gone just like the H&S.
  5. fine shave and pic Evan..
  6. Those brushes look great, Evan! Sorry about the rough shave, but that seems to be going around lately. You’re not the only one reporting such shaves! Glad you’re enjoying the Shake Sharp! It’s a fine face shaver, but can’t be beat as a head shaver. Have a great day!
  7. Thanks Jeff! I really like the shake sharp. :) I need a month off from 30DC so I can shave with all the cool gear new to my den. As you know I have several razors I haven't even tried yet.
  8. Thanks Gary!

  10. I can tell you before you even shave with it, that you’ll like the Krona! I shaved with one for half a century. They’re solid shavers, not as efficient as some of the newer designs, but still great a great razor!
  11. Thank you, Danny!

  12. Great shave, Danny! Sounds like you knocked it out of the park. Just a quick question, when you get a chance about the Imperial. Do you bowl or face lather? Are you getting a good post shave feel from the soap? How’s it compare to MWF?
  13. Lovely image and great shave report, Terry! I don’t think that I’ve ever gone beyond two passes on the noggin! Wow!
  14. Lovely shave and pic, Gary! Good Morning!

  16. Looks a bit gloomy! It’s 47 degrees here in Philly! I’m sure it’s much warmer in your neck of the woods!
  17. Thanks Jeff, I load off of the soap and then bowl lather in a Timeless shave bowl. I think the soap is on par with MFW on slickless. The post shave feel is a tad under MFW but still nice. Looking foward to your thoughts.

  19. There’s really nothing to it, Paul. Google “How to split a DE blade in half”. It’s safe and easy.
